Re: India Border Watch: Security and Operations

Another one bites the dust! I can see a round coming down. Cannot make it if it mortar or a artillery shell. It looks too powerful to be a mortar and is coming at an angle. There is another video where the entire post is blown up with a single round. I am still of the belief we haven't used 155MM. M...

I had once gone as an audience to Vikram Chandra's (NDTV) talk show and Natwar Singh was the guest. This was in early 2000s i think. I don't recall the complete conversation but he asked a question to the audience as to what we should do and somebody said "we should do hot pursuit across LoC!&q...

As per History TV Docu Strike Team 1 hit Leepa Valley target T-1. But we know this team split and hit two adjacent but distinct targets.

So it doesnt tally 1:1

The History Channel docu may be based on Nitin Gokhale's work, but we do learn new facts. Most importantly, is the number of targets. So far we knew 5 targets were hit. I had combed through all open source info and come up with this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DT7-tTkWkAAP-pg.jpg However, History T...

Pak Navy has increased substantially in size over last 2-3 years, during the tenure of the previous chief Zakiullah (sic). They have an outstanding order of 8 submarines with China which is much larger than our rather anemic order of 6 scorpenes. Pakistan Navy successfully testfires surface-to-surfa...

Re: Indian Navy News & Discussion - 15 Dec 2016

From an acquisitions perspective 2017 was a much better year for IN compared to 2015 and 2016. New orders were placed and there was some movement on existing order pipeline as well - the highlight being Kalvari's commissioning. Order pipeline for IN as of *Nov* 2017: Indigenous aircraft carrier (INS...

I would put snipers at strategic places to look for officers and hit them only. That would teach the Nawabs or RAPE class a lesson. Pakistanis are doing exactly that. Aside from reports in our media, we have seen videos from Pakistan such as Wajahat Khan's documentaries showing off deployment of sn...

Pakistan seems to have dedicated SF snipers attached with each unit whose sole job is to pick out indian soldiers. Dunno if we hv something similar. If not, this needs to be rectified, with our snipers picking off their sepoys and officers. I often hear about indians getting sniped but not the othe...

Every winter we are left angry due to inaction.

Have we seen this winters spectacular? If so this time we have also seen a response.

3 battle casualties admitted by Pak ISPR are probably the ones with missing heads - which explains the unusual alacrity with which they admitted it. Rest of the troop unfortunately doesnt get public recognition for their sacrifice. Well at least they kept their heads!

From an acquisition timelines perspective, the Ka-226 vs LUH scenario is similar to the Pilatus vs HTT-40 situation. Albeit the latter was only on drawing boards at the time. It looks like we will end up buying both and lets hope thats for the best.
