Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
I am of Indian Origin born in Kenya. Kenya (as well as Uganda and Tanganyika ) had a Indian community of about 150,000 at the time of Independence (1962). We are heading in a direction that is probably OTT for this thread but posting a reply here as the original is here. I am also of Indian origin ...

By Burundi you mean Uganda, right? I was talking about the Burundian in the article. Idi Amin (made popular among Indian kids by Pustak Mahal's crazy despots) was not alone in his racism. Most African despots were racist and tribal including Mugabe. I am of Indian Origin born in Kenya. Kenya (as we...

Re: Neutering & Defanging Chinese Threat (15-11-2017)
The Chinese seem to be investing in a lot of African and IOR countries, some of these are loans that lead to debt traps. I'm not saying India should throw cash around, but we should start working with these countries to squeeze the Chinese and switch over infrastructure and other projects to India....

Why Are There NO BIRDS in China? Comment on the video: You wouldn't even know if aliens landed in China, you would only find some weird bones I used to work for a Japanese Telecom manufacturer and visited Japan many tiles. The Japanese used to joke " the Japanese eat everything in the sea, and...

Part in green: You have impression that Chinese holds entire Galwan valley but they are not. The Galwan flows in shape like a corner of rectangle. Indian army still holds shorter leg which is approxiately 8 km long. So "all along Galwan valley" is wrong term. If you think Chinese does not...

Is there an official reference map available for where the LAC actually lies? Otherwise we would working with a constantly receding line through the years. It has receded in the last few days  The Google map I posted, a few days ago, based on a 2016 image showed the LAC about 5 km away from ...

Re: Understanding the US - Again
That is a pertinant post. Christianity seems to have evolved further in Britain than in mainstream US politics. Although it is a huge component of their culture, it has been depoliticised. It is significant that I do not know Boris Johnson's religion/denomination. Some years ago, my non-Indian girl...

Congrats to UK Hindus in forcing Labour Party to recant their wrong policy on Kashmir. Kudos. There is just one constituency in England where Hindu voters have the numbers to swing the vote. This is Harrow East in the London suburbs where a large number of East African Indians (my mother included) ...

What exactly are the pakis claiming asylum from? There is no war going on in pakiland. They are just using up spots meant for real asylum seekers fleeing actual war in Syria, Libya etc. They are economic migrants, in which case they can try to enter the EU legally and wait in line like everyone els...
