Regarding the MOPs, there was a newspaper report about 2 years ago, stating the IAF's reliance on MOPs. But, it implied that the problem had been sorted out, because it said something to the effect that IAF had resorted to this for a short while.
It was the TOI I think.

I think the MiG 27s & 23s(updated) were selected for this role. The Kh25 used to be(and most probably still is) the most widely issued anti radiation missile. It came with the MiG 27 deal, in the 80s,I think. Was supposed to be quite capable.

Tailchase range should be less because of lower RCS. In head on engagement the RCS is more because of the fan blades and all of the engines(they increase it considerably). So this should be reason for lower range in pursuit.
