People do live in Tawang and similar elevations all along the Northeast. With proper infrastructure one can live in Ladakh too. It just cannot be worse than trying to live on the moon or mars. Yes, it will take effort and hence may not turn out to be economical given alternatives.

Time to take territory rather than do political analysis or even a frame by frame analysis paralysis. Except in Dokalam we are still within our side of the LAC everywhere else. Need to push the envelope further before I believe something changed since 2014.

I do not think India is present at the Doklam plateau to the north-east of the tri-junction which is also a disputed area by the Chinese, but maybe it is time to make a move there too.
