People do live in Tawang and similar elevations all along the Northeast. With proper infrastructure one can live in Ladakh too. It just cannot be worse than trying to live on the moon or mars. Yes, it will take effort and hence may not turn out to be economical given alternatives.

The model is obviously small scale, thus for example the base of the L, part of the lake is only about 85 m long. Chinese have built full scale cities which lie empty, so this must be one of those brilliant ideas, where they play war games. Maybe this is to memorize routes to retreat under pressure...

Time to take territory rather than do political analysis or even a frame by frame analysis paralysis. Except in Dokalam we are still within our side of the LAC everywhere else. Need to push the envelope further before I believe something changed since 2014.

One thing that is amply clear in the high resolution video is that that stone pelting is happening right on the loop road as it can be clearly seen in the long shot.

Right or left or was it an ambush and the video got cut off etc is not clear as it ends abruptly.

I do not think India is present at the Doklam plateau to the north-east of the tri-junction which is also a disputed area by the Chinese, but maybe it is time to make a move there too. Close down into Chumbi valley all around the tri-junction. Some roads will need to be constructed from the Bhutanes...

India is building a civil airport in Pakyong, just south of Gangtok and to the west of Doklam plateau to be ready by next year. I am sure it will also service mil planes. This is another reason why India will not budge from its position, due to the clear line of sight from Doklam.
