Re: UAVs, Drones, Remote Surveillance Tech
Moving back to topic at hand: given the massive use of drones in the recent Ukraine war, it is all but certain we will see a similar usage with the Chinese and the Pakis. The former because they are quite advanced at it and the latter because they will be borrow and steal to do asymmetric warfare a...

Re: Pakistan Armed Forces: News & Discussion
Biden just gave $450M sustainment aid to Pak F-16s. This means they don't have hope of F-21s for MRFA and most likely F-18s. Well, true. Whether they had any chance at all before was up to a debate, but now there's absolutely no chance at all. I expect an announcement soon from the Indian Navy abou...

Re: Pakistan Armed Forces: News & Discussion
Or its the stupid Americans trying to tell India that we can still needle you. I would not say that. They know needling India is difficult...it was done when CAATSA was threatened for S400 and India did not budge. It was not the same with Turkey when they were thrown out of the F35 program. When it...

Re: Pakistan Armed Forces: News & Discussion
The Pakis have been given this aid for their F-16s is because they provided the ammunition for the Ukraine war. Pakistan has Ukraine origin weapons and if you read a few days ago, their Ordinance factory provided the supplies. They would not have done this unless they were given something in return....

Re: Pakistan Armed Forces: News & Discussion
How would Russia react to the Paki arms being made available to Ukraine? Would Russia stop RD-33 spares for the JF-17 fighters that Pakistan has? Do the Paki J10s have the AL-31 engine which has Russian origin? they do have RD33 not AL31., I thought J10 were initially made with AL-31 and then AL-31...

Re: Tejas Mk2 Medium Weight Fighter: News & Discussion - 23 February 2019
India should invest in two programs only, I believe. One is Tejas Mk2, Mk3 which is a single engine non-stealth plane and should be our light weight/medium weight combat aircraft. The second should be AMCA - two variants perhaps. One is a non stealth twin engine fighter that should be considered for...

Re: Armoured Vehicles: News & Discussion
This light tank will never be as protected as a heavy tank. Note: i am not claiming one or the other as the main battle tank. A main battle tank is any vehicle that is used primarily to fulfill the roles of a tank in the specific situation. Depending on the situation it can be either a 70 ton vehic...

Re: Armoured Vehicles: News & Discussion
Seniors, I have a question on this Light Tank requirement. Assuming that a light tank would be less protected against an ATGM as compared to an MBT, would it not be easier to manufacturer/purchase higher accuracy ATGMs? In Ukraine-Russia war, we have seen how the conventional tenets of a war were br...

Re: Joint Military Exercises: News & Discussion
A novice question, but what would it take for the IAF to bring the LCA to these joint exercises.
