Supposedly Exxon found huge amount of oil and gas reserves in Balochistan - greater than that of Kuwait. India has to move rapidly to electric vehicles and drive down the prices of oil and nullify the effect of this discovery. There is probably a gap of 4 or 5 years before the production comes full...

Saar pardon me but chips are not that expensive as you make out to be, it is 7-10 cents/sq.mm and most chips that support basic 4G are about 50-70 sq.mm. Generally, it is hard to scale down or miniaturize things. But scaling up from Tejas Mk1 to Tejas Mk2 should be easier than building Mk1. Also more weight and volume means more margins for trade offs like less weapons for more fuel or bigger or over weight engine.
