A company like Lanco has more than 40000 cr debt. Even with a debt/equity ratio of 80:20, Lanco must come up with 8,000 cr as equity. Where did it get such amounts from? I doubt it even generated such amounts as revenue let alone profits through out its operating history.

Except Bihar and Manipur, all other states have crossed 1000$. Chattisgarh, MP and Rajasthan are close to national average. A few more terms of stable and honest govt will do wonders for those states.

VAT in UK isn't a flat rate of 20% on everything. Food and medicine is zero rated. Energy - gas and electricity is taxed at 5%.
