Anecdotally it seems that the second dose of Moderna produces much stronger side effects (aches etc) than the first dose.

Moderna has announced that it will have booster shots effective for B117 and SouthAfrican strain soon.
(For mRNA (and also AstraZeneca type(s) ) type(s) one can actually develop effective booster shots fairly quickly)

This B117 strain is serious *extremely* serious! Suppose we have 1000 cases/day now... with an R=0.86 we could reduce it to 500/day in 2 weeks. Very sad to see the passing of Nobel laureate Martinus Veltman, a giant of particle physics. In the 1960s he was one of the few who kept believing in gauge theories as the ultimate description of nature. He will be missed for his razor-sharp mind and boundless passion for physics.
