Is the quality of these two flag books the same? Many cheap and unresearched pieces of . . . non-scholarship . . . have come out on this topic and few of them are any good at all, just pieces of patriotic . . . fluff.

And I, too, cannot follow the comparison with our medals book.

Both ribbons are "correct", as deviance in manufacturing has resulted in both. It is all up to the military tailors to improvise.
