Re: Chandrayaan 3: Launch and Discussions

Remembering my favorite कहीं दूर जब दिन ढल जाए ... (Speeded up the day/night/day at the Vikram's place) Enjoy: (You can see Earth, planets, stars, and sun.. Sun set, as I posted here before on Sept 4, now waiting for the dawn) See how the earth remains at almost the same place when stars and planet...

Re: Aditya-L1 (आदित्य -L1): Launch and Discussions

We need to improve our rocket's thrust quickly. How long will it take for us to reach Venus If we use the slingshot method? Aditya l1 takes 109 days to cross 1.5 million km, Venus is 61 million km away. 😂😂 The central government should, first of all, assign funds for NGLV. FWIW: Some comment: Impro...

Re: Chandrayaan 3: Launch and Discussions

... Last week, I was discussing about a hypothesis if the lander could hop to another location where sunlight is available. Isro proved me partially correct, however, it will need a lot of fuel which will increase its weight. As the moon's gravity is 1.62 m/s² and with no atmosphere available on th...

Have to post this beautiful illustration from CanberraDSN ( Part of NASA's Deep Space Network. Managed in Australia by CSIRO) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F46ZaaMawAE1FX3?format=jpg&name=4096x4096 It would be great if the rover could have clicked the lander's pic with Earth in its back ground. I...

Re: Chandrayaan 3: Launch and Discussions

As the lander retargeted and landed on a different spot, there would be little fuel left in the tanks. Hypothetically, if some fuel was left in the tanks would it be a good idea to fire the engine and move to another location where there is daylight available? Then we can get 28 days of continuous d...

Re: Chandrayaan 3: Launch and Discussions

Can anyone please let me know when we launch a satellite in geostationary orbit it has to face temp ranging from -196 ºC to +128 °C, On the surface of the moon, the temp ranges from -171 ºC to +111 ºC. If our satellites and especially this lander can survive in space for so many days, can't it survi...

IF indigenous is that is your bar then we are in trouble mate? I much have the infantry equipped with the best even if imported. And the AK203 is a bad choice for regular infantry. Please read some of the earlier posts on the effectiveness of various calibres. With every passing day, military hardw...

Re: Small Armaments & Infantry Equipment - News & Discussion

I think the good thing about F-insas is that everything is manufactured indigenously. The battle management system can be added to it later. If every single soldier in the infantry is equipped with all the stuff shown in the presentation it will be a big step forward for our armed forces. If we keep...

Re: Small Armaments & Infantry Equipment - News & Discussion

1) Any updates on Ak -203? We have already received the first lot of 70,000 which was off the shelves. The rest 6,00,000 pieces were intended to be produced in the Amethi plant. Since the Russia-ukr war started seems there is no progress on this front. This is the worst part of dealing with Russia, ...
