I've always been curious that since you guys run the best Indian military related website have you ever had someone from the Indian armed forces IT section or whoever does their web based PR contact you? For whatever reason.

Re: Exercise Divya Astra: Shock & Awe
Star News has a report on the IAF exercise in Pokhran. It said that some of the bombs and missiles missed their targets but on the whole it was good. They had some really good footage. M2Ks, Su-30's, refueling tankers with M2Ks etc. You name it, some big explosions as well. Just saw it like 45 mins ...

Re: Pakistan Nuclear Proliferation - 07 Feb 2004
The only End of History will be some sort of nuclear apocalypse. The fact is that the whole "End of History" line is very convinient for Western govts, sort of a declaration of victory and end of the competition. Well they talk to the East about, a new phase is just beginning, we will see ...

Yes, we have to totally overwhel their Command, Control and Communications system. Then do a blitz, they shouldn't even know what happened. By the time they figure out what transpired we should be atleast till Lahore and maybe even on the banks of the Indus. Get their comm, radar, bridges, ammo dump...

Yes, holding terr. will make them sh!t their H&D when we get to the final peace table.
That's why I hope the IA plan to hold atleast significant bits of Punjab, Sindhi and even Balochistan if possible.

Exactly how do we expect to pacify the cities? Maybe I've watched to many movies, but street to street fighting against a fanatical enemy isn't good. I would hate to have to attack the mess that is Karachi. 20 million people!! Will we siege it? Wait for them to declare it a open city or starve them ...

Yes I kind of picked up on that. I can't say half of this stuff in a class discussion b/c mainly people won't believe anything they don't read in the Times or see on the big news channels. Disturbing bit to me is the sheer short sightedness of certain govts. They totally fail to see the threat posed...

This is really disturbing. I'm mean I'm studying International Relations and Politics at university, but they never teach us about this. I learn more about realpolitik here than in class. It's quite sickening acctually, not sure if this is what I signed up for when I started the course.

Paki nukes can still be used against us in a war. So things arent 100% perfect. As for any sort of arms race the Pakis have to be joking, every day the gap widens and if they try to compete it'll be a total disaster for them. Hopefully they are stupid enough to try.

Agreed on pretty much all of your analysis. However, wrt to India, how much longer before this ballon bursts? They will do something eventually for sure. What and when is the question!

They shot themselves in the foot. They knew that running over the Iraqi army would be a joke, TSP now would take some serious planning to do. US seems to always go after an easy target and rarely seem to think long or medium term.
