Saw news that USN contracted Boeing for 78 F/A 18 E/F block III jets for 5yr delivery schedule on fixed cost basis worth $4.04B total. Thats like $51Mil per jet..!! Thats much lower than one would expect. What gives..?? Of coarse this does not seems to include PBL, any weapons. But still 51M is low...

No.18 Flying Bullets Squadron.

The only IAF squadron to have a Param Vir Chakra as its honour. Given to Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon in 1971.

Assuming this article is true, can someone explain how they plan to disable F-16s, if they find out that Pakistan is using them to drop nuclear weapons? What is the point of disabling the F-16, after they have dropped the bomb? Or is it more sinister than that? :lol:

Indranil's repeated confirmation on Mk1 being upgraded to Mk1A is a fantastic thing. I really, really hope they increase the number of Tejas orders either in Mk1 or Mk1A configuration. The performance of Mk1A might convince the IAF to do just that.
