I think we need to have some data on actual hospitalizations or sick persons in India. Based on infected persons, India has 2.5% mortality rate. 34/1318 as of today.

The Abbott Labs tester can do 50,000 tests per day. I don't know when these will be available in India, but I think it is sometime soon.

Some 65 of the new cases today are coming from MH and KL. I expect that these states and others will stabilize due to the lockdown.

The US is at 4% fatality and ICU combined. But most of this is coming from NY which needs to closed off by US army so that those people can’t drive away and afflict more elsewhere.

^^^US is adding about 10-12K cases per day and half of them are coming from NY. The US is too large of a country geographically and COVID-19 cases vary greatly outside of the east and west coasts. Unemployment is the big concern where the US could face over 30% unemployment which will not help anyone.

^^^Presumptive positive is that the patient is showing all the symptoms (respiratory and fever), but hasn't been tested. They are presumed positive. As time goes on and more testing was done, those numbers probably became actual positive.
