Per a Defence AV channel the F414 engine production in India would start with indigenization level of 60% in the 1st year and will top out at 75% at the end of the 10th year. so the screw drive /assembling demonstration can and will come to a halt at any time. Re: Tejas Mk2 Medium Weight Fighter: News & Discussion - 23 February 2019
Besides the fact that the current Air Chief Marshal will not be around when a contract will be signed for MWF, the window to acquire an MRFA is painfully short. If MWF is ready before the deal is inked, that will automatically eliminate the need for MRFA. We are about 5 years away from that time. Gi...

Let’s look at this from a strategic choice perspective. If the IAF chief talks a lot about MWF/Tejas Mk2, vendors will lose interest in MRFA. MRFA is simply a higher priority for the ACM in the present scheme of things. Ideally for IAF MRFA contract should have happened a long time ago and cannot co...

Pandyan,
If a two engine MCA is as capable as a Rafale in 20 years (at MLU), it should be good enough. That is a consistent standard. (My conjecture is that Rafale MLU will be as expensive or more expensive than a new MCA Mk 0.5)
