Apparently, the blacklist applies only to working with OFB and not other entities. So the Rheinmetall Skyshield AAA deal with TATA can go on according to the Trident-Trishul blog guy. Lets see.

Two things I want to bring up to put some prespective into this debate of Nuclear energy safety. Per unit of energy produced, Nuclear energy is by FAR the safest. http://nextbigfuture.com/2011/03/deaths-per-twh-by-energy-source.html The danger of Nuclear radiation is vastly overestimated. http://nex...

Anyone in to Micro 4/3 cameras here? Espacially around Hyderabad.
I use a Lumix GF1 and have all the right glass. My Fav is the Voigtlander f0.95 25mm(yes 0.95 f stop!). Amazing camera, superb lens. But I do miss the low light performance and bokeh of the new range Nikons (D7000).

In the Guardian photos of the crashed halicopter, the tale section(picture 4) is clearly not of the old UH-60 Black hawk but a new stealth design.

The speed issue with the Akash is not as much a issue as it seems as it is powered throughout its flight as opposed to a launch boost of Mach 4 and glide for the next 3/4 to max range - so the time to max range may well be less than most other SAM's, this is why its such a heavy missile for its rang...

Arun, I have serious question, not sure you have had your say on this yet. All of the new missiles coming out of DRDO right now have thrusters. I don’t believe the PAD was performing energy bleeding maneuvers. For one it’s a liquid fueled missile, there is no need to bleed energy, just turn the engine off at the right moment. Initially, I thought the reason they went in for a liquid first stage, is it gives them the freedom to ignite the se...

True range?
It’s quite clear the Indian military deliberately understates the rage of its missiles, an unnecessary and ineffective subterfuge.
