Just b/c something takes away from interior development does not automatically make it bad for overall development of the country. This same argument was made during the interstate development in the US " interstates will take away from rural US" Blaahhhblahhhhh.... The village as it exist...

Why is this not getting the importance it deserves. If it were upto me I'd break off diplomatic relations till the UK comes clear and pays up to the descendants of the soldiers, and publicly appologizes and agrees to Indian probes into HR violations by these British scientists/military officers.

Dude, its not "America can't do it so how can India", it's the question of MONEY. Dredging coasts a boat load of money, and its not a little bit of sand, it's billions and billions of tons of sediment and the question of where will you dispose of it. As I said before, unless hydro-sediment...

So, what studies on the canal have not stood upto physics?? I don't think there has been any hydrodynamic or other studies on it. As long as there are no studies on the canal, objections are useless, no one can say if its workable or not. Sediment dynamics are complex and not intuitive ( Einstein on...

OK, before people start fantasizing about the canal, the following longterm problems should be kept in mind: 1) Long term sediment budget studies: Do we envision having dredging capacity to remove the sediment which will accumulate, 2) What studies have been conducted: Environmental as well as hydro...

Kinda feel sorry for those POWs. They paid the price for their inept generals. Specially for the guy who was left behind by his "comrades".

Good to see they were well taken care of by our forces.

I can't believe that the IAF did not have plans to fight at top of the world!!! Simply can't believe it, specially after the Siachen operations. Bugger what the IAF thought or did. NO air force in the world has tried what the IAF ended up trying to figure out in Kargil and other Air Forces are lear...

Given all this talk of effects of air density on bomb trajectories, I wonder why did the IAf never try to find out what the effects are? I can't believe that the IAF did not have plans to fight at top of the world!!! Simply can't believe it, specially after the Siachen operations. Another question, ...

If someone wants to read all three-four authors they can go to each one seperately. If the authors want to combine their stories then they can create a new t...

So, let's get this straight: IAF has to share all its resources with IN and IA but not the other way around. I don't see the IN or the IA offering up any of their test ranges for IAF uses or any other facilities. I remember during the hay days of Punjab terrorism, after a big Massacre about 50Km awa...

USAF officer cadre starts from 2nd Lieutenant, and most air forces have only Cadre Officers flying fighter jets. Are Junior officers like this Staff Sgt. allowed to fly jets in US, and how senior is this position if someone will have an idea ? Is this prevalent in other Air forces too ? Some more p...

Isn't this war happening sometime in the future, it is very conceivable that we can kick the CRap out of the pukis w/o getting hit too bad in return.
