Re: Artillery Discussion Thread

I check both the chandrapur and bolangir plants on google earth. Both have extensive bunkers to store explosives and ready shells Whoever is going to check this issue will need to check the storage dumps where the fired shell was stored through its life, not just the plants which likely only have t...

Massive building of infrastructure helped by fast clearances is one way to bring back growth till businessmen learn to do things in white. @gupta If you buy an apartment with BM, it will count in the real growth rate although the source of money is not legit. Re: The Rohingya Menace

@chola,

What happens in btween Bdesh and My wrt Ro is between them . What happens with Ro in India is between India and My. If you bring in Bdesh you will complicate things. What happens with Bdeshi illegals is a separate issue.

Re: The Rohingya Menace

Yes, we should stick to logic. Rohingyas who came into India originated in Myanmar and hence should be deported there. Whether they are Bdeshis is for Bdesh and Myanmar to decide. Illegal Bdeshis are issue between Bdesh and India and is separate.

Re: Indian Economy News & Discussion - Aug 26 2015

Mudra is for the lowest rung and first time entrepreneurs with no capital. SME/MME can avail regular bank loans with due process. The banks and govt are taking a big risk with Mudra. So it is better to have small loans for larger numbers than larger loans for smaller numbers to spread risk.

Re: The Rohingya Menace

That is what I have been warning about. The real target is to stall any future action on illegal elements in India starting with Bdeshis in Assam and WB and turning India into a vulnerable state unable to defend itself from demographic aggression. Similar to make India militarily unable to deal with...

Re: The Rohingya Menace

All the BIF pressure points are being activated. NHRC IIRC has not undergone change since this govt took power and is full of C-system people. Pressure through UN. Settling Rohingyas in Jammu when they are actually Bengalies and should be in WB. All points to a sinister pattern of BIFs using the iss...

Re: The Rohingya Menace

The numbers of Rohingyas is tiny compared to the number of Muslims in India. That is not the issue. The idea of BIFs is to ensure the govt is unable to move on core issues and do things in national interest. If they can somehow stall this they will again use same tactics for bigger issues. Given the...

These petitions are the handiwork of BIFs. They are testing Govt resolve. If they find any weakness they will come back again. All the more reason to deport Rohingyas.

Re: The Rohingya Menace

Good strategy to send aid for optics if they remain firm on deportation. Similar strategy will be needed to deport Bdeshis if and when it happens. Right now pressure should be on Myanmar to take back the Rohingyas in India who migrated from that region.

Colin Gonzalves who is fighting for the Rohingyas in the SC comes from the same school as Prashant Bhushan and has the same mentors. The idea is to use the courts and misuse the rule of law in India to prevent executive action. Similar course will be eventually taken to prevent future action by this...

Re: The Rohingya Menace

There are no soft options on Rohingya deportation for the Modi govt. If they back down on deporting Rohingyas they will not be able to deport millions of Bdeshis from Assam and WB as technically they will also be stateless. This has been an election pledge to the people of Assam given by this govt. ...

In advanced countries including Japan corruption are usually at higher places. Petty corruption is almost non-existent. Cash fuels petty corruption in India e.g. a babu accepting bribes leading to 1-2 crore of BM. But yes, it is just one of the parameters.
