Re: Indian Nuclear Submarines -3

S4* difference maybe due to carrying K5 rather than K4 and not due to larger number of tubes. Will get clarity with time.

Re: Nepal and Bhutan News and discussion

I expect the Communist parties and the socialist Nepal Congress to fail economically just like in other countries including India. Extreme poverty leads to these ideologies seem attractive. A new party can take shape based on economics and less religion as Nepal did not experience anti-Hindu politic...

I will stick my neck out and say that the Arihant carries the K4 - may or may not be MIRVed. K15 has no strategic use given its range and maybe a TD.

Re: Nepal and Bhutan News and discussion

Nepal needs a nationalist alternative to the Nepal Congress to break the cycle of Communists coming to power alternatively. Nepal is the poorest country in south Asia and its politics now is similar to that of 70s India.

It seems the Delhi Policy Group which was behind the clandestine meeting at Aiyar's house is foreign funded. DFC and semi HSR will free up capacity on these lines. This will lead to more trains, shorter journey time and better time keeping.

$3 billion project to speed up Del-Mum, Del-Kol route to 160 kmph being sent for cabinet approval. Should be seen in context of DFC along same routes freeing up passenger traffic.

Re: Indian Sports and Entertainment Industry

It was a very sedate game from both sides except in the 4th quarter when India tried to score. I think they gave too much respect to Olympic champions. Kept it too late. Unfortunately Argentina got that PC and they have the best drag flicker. IMO they played European style with Indian characteristic...

One bad umpiring decision cost the match. Also India kept the attack too late. But good learning experience for the young team. Should try to win 3rd/4th play-off.

Not sure what you are trying to say by bringing in Korea. FDI in india was as severely restricted as domestic private enterprise. It is like choking a man with both hands. It is incredible that India didn't become another NK.

Yes, although conversion was poor. But we have been trying the European style of hockey for 20-30 years with little success except under Oltman we moved upto 6th position. It is low base effect. Going from 1 MW to 10 MW is 10 fold growth but is much easier than going from 10K to 100K. As for lack of investments it was mainly due to severe restrictions on private enterprise. Nehru hated capital and profit. Govt investment is by tax or loan. In a poor country there is v...

Below that is the I-league which is going to run concurrently with 10 teams. Below that is the I-league second divisio...

The next big reform left is labor - the big moo moo.

Rest is mostly dependent on the states to improve ease of business ratings e.g. construction permits. Are their ease of business ratings for Indian states? If not it should be started.
