This is what Vishnu had posted : I anticipate a couple of questions from you guys … 1. The Zhuk radar … well, we did have it on for a short while and the resolution of the radar in the air to ground mode was considerably better than the F-16 Block 50 jet I had flown on. What kind of F-16C Block...

Some Typhoon RAM pics: http://eurofighter.airpower.at/IMG_2835.jpg http://eurofighter.airpower.at/IMG_2845.jpg Typhoon also uses S-shaped air-intakes and that brings good benefits for LO. Some nice tidbits from Su-35 R&D: a) Su-35 introduces sensor fussion technology. Russians call it "portrait of targets" (or just portraits), it fuses all the contact information of a single target from different sensors (radar, EW, datalink, IRST) so to just show the pilot a single con...

Austin, NIIP is working on AESA technology don't have any doubts about that (focus of work ---> MIRE system for 5th Gen Sukhoi T-50 and demo-eval Epaulet-A), the point is, Irbis-E is not an AESA radar and there is not known projects of Flanker-derived AESA radars from NIIP while it would be only log...

This is Irbis-E: http://www.niip.ru/Library/sky/Library_sky18/images/irbis_6.jpg http://www.ni...
