The fasteners are not composite...mostly will be steel or Titanium.

The surface finish of Rafale is outstanding. But most of the recent indigenous products from HAL have excellent surface finish as well. A sharp contrast when comparing with Russian ones.

To me, it looked like during Rough Braking, the target min velocity was not reached. Nope. WAP7 was originally limited to 130 due to reasons mentioned by arshyam. Actually, I believe WAP5 (just the loco) can do 225 with suitable modifications. Don't think IR has ever tested it beyond 184 though...

HAL had a working demo of automatic main rotor blades folding system at the recent AI 2019. Was pretty impressive and I was told that system fits & works even inside a hangar (can't think of the actual naval term for this :)) on the ship. HAL folks also said they are confident of the system work...
