Power situation inspite of Kudakundalam failing is pretty good in Chennai, one thing Amma did was to have power cut or full power, in 2008-11 period DMK used to give power at 170 volts. So techinically no power cut, but nothing will run on it.

Thats why if SOKO deploys a Missile system PRC sanctions them. NOKO is like a non state actor for PRC to fix US...

Regarding imports, I think GST is a big blow to the informal smuggling business, earlier since retailers were only somewhat bothered about VAT, they didnt bother about full input credits, Now they all want Invoices with input credits, this in itself will some of the smuggled imports costlier.

If MIG is keen on a joint development, would there be scope for the 1.44 follow on LMFS? They do have the design cojones and know how, and interested local players could supplant HAL as the integrator. Plus is that the engine is an RD33 derivative, or follow on. I like they idea of buying some Jaguars, Mig 29's and M-2000's to keep numbers up until the LCA can replace them up. It is far better idea that Single Jet Fighter thingie.

These can give cushion till the LCA MK1, 1A and MK 11 replace the Mig 21 Bisions, balance of Mig 27's which need replacement.
