I agree rather than us Physically been able to a hot persuit, either Helicopter launched rockets or anti tank missile etc we should be able inflict ccausualties on these BAT teams on thier side of LOC. the Paki side 3-5 KM of LOC should be our hunting zone.

Thats Ok Shiv, as long as costs for the F-16 are capped to say 100 Mil er aircraft and limited 6 sqaudrons with no options and Tejas orders are increased, we all dont want an Arjun saga. Even the Russians see Tejas a greater threat than F-16 in India :D

So why would a Ballistic missile hitting any target in China get a Thermonuclear countervalue response. If China is going to Nuke a Non nuclear country why does is matter if a Frigate is hit with a Cruise missile or Airfield hit by a Ballistic Missile?

And we are still wondering why the Chinese have not "reverse Engineered" a 30 year old jet engine. I think its time to put this reverse engineering to death, it is nothing but imports/ToT production with H&D label of reverse engineered.

I hope some of the L-70's are kept, its like when missiles first came in Aircraft that guns were obsolete. I have smaller number of guns should be kept as a last response in war time, excess l-70 along with Ammo can be sent to LOC.
