Let me recount an incident which is related to the Pune bridge - Army vs Police incident. In my personal experience that bridge is a trap to catch gullible newcomers in the city. There is one inconspicuous signpost in Marathi at the entrance. My friend and I, who were new to the city, rode into the...

Lt Gen SK Sinha on The makingof Generals The making of generals January 26, 2012 For the last few months, an unfortunate controversy has been raging over the date of birth of the Army Chief. Some times its so hard to believe that a Army Chief who has the courage to take on the government on his Age issue in name of honour and dignity , would simply fall to pressure from superiors and would accept 1950 DOB during two of his promotions and then twist that into "organisational intere...

US, UK lead the world in crime. India is number 9. Considering that India's population is 20 times that of UK, the crime rates normailized by the population (i.e. per 100,000 or so citizens), will show that UK has nearly 80 times the crime rate of India and the US nearly 30 times! http://www.mapsofw...

Comment: Tibetans in India cause China great takleef. The more they torture, suppress and kill Tibetans in Tibet, the greater the influx of refugees and the greater the possibility of support to a Tibetan uprising. As one of the links above shows the border between India and Uttar Arunachal (Tibet)...

Yes. Such conflicts are when the military general doesn't obey orders: Gen MacArthur in Korea, Gen. McChrystal in Afghanistan.
