Graet Scenario so far. But can Car Nic AFB handle one Sqn of Su 30MKI and another of Jaguar? The logistic facilities appear austere at best unless there has been a substantial upgrade recently. And if so, will it escape notice of the Chinese?

The scenario of IAF SU 30 MKI defending an Awacs from PLAAF J-11's by Shankar reads much better compared to a similar scenario in Tom Clancy's Bear and the Dragon. Congratulations Shankar, and if you decide to publish this as a book, I'll be the first one to buy it.

According to www.israeli-weapons.com, Indian airforce phalcons have conformal fugelage mounted radar arrays and not rotodome types. Are your photos of actual IAF Phalcons or classic Mainstays?

Shankar, Although ASW helos and aircrafts theoritically can carry a heavyweight torpedo, they never do in practice because the associated parachute gear needed to drop the torp would not fit into the weapons bay. Dropping the torp by winch from a helo is also not feasible.

Hi Shankar, this is Dhruvarka, a new member. I am reporting a typo / tech error on your post. Mk48 ADCAP is launched from SSN/SSBN only and not from Helicopters. You probably meant Mk 46 or Mk50 ALWT. Correct me if I am wrong.
