In the ad video about Para SF, there are 2 badges shown, one worn above the left pocket and the other on the lanyard. What are they? I recognized the Balidan badge, the parachute badge and the Army Commendation Badge.

While on the discussion regarding inadequateness of the Indian defence budget for preparing Indian military against China, one should also look at a different example, Japan. India and Japan both have similar defence budget now, though in PPP terms, Indian one would be larger than the Japanese one....

Question to gurus; the Rs. 6k Cr odd which is not utilized, can it be accounted for the DAC cleared proposals like for LLW radars, additional Pilatus trainers, repair depots for IN and Grad rockets if signed before end of March? Since technically fiscal year is till 31 March.

the concept of seizing an airbase ahead of advancing mech columns would only make sense in a deep battle scenario? in our context, pretty much all the TSP and Cheen airbases are located well away from the border, to the extent we do not envisage such deep campaigns on land to need airfield seizures...

Also IIRC there was supposed to be an ARM version based on Akash. Considering that the SAM system has matured, may be an LFRJ (for increased range) based ARM is in the works now. For ARM mission, missile can be fueled just prior to take off.
