BRakshaks, sorry for an absolutely asinine question- in my defence I have been searching and am still unable to find a clear and simple answer- why exactly do we need SSKs? Re: Road to the 2024 Elections in India-1
Our biggest constraint as an economy in growing faster (i.e. > 8-9% p.a.) is actually the Current Account Deficit (CAD). So my wishlist for Modi III would be the following: 1. Massive hydrocarbons discovery program so that the imports of petroleum and petroleum products is minimized/ massive expansi...

China is inherently a brittle state given the underlying structural faults between the North and South, and has been prone to civil wars and breakups throughout its history. In the modern era perhaps a breakup and civil war may not be likely any more but the inherent brittleness remains Sadly, what ...

If the current trends hold up to the final outcomes (BJP 3, CON 1), then it is a major disaster for the INDI alliance: 1. Congress is still unable to come even anywhere close to BJP in a straight fight 2. Wherever CON is strengthening is at the expense of its (potential) INDI alliance "partners...

https://www.ft.com/content/c10bd71b-e418-48d7-ad89-74c5783c51a2 In a historic turn, China’s rise as an economic superpower is reversing. The biggest global story of the past half century may be over. Agree.... I think BJP alone will get ~ 330 seats in 2024 if current trends hold. Add to that the rest of the NDA and it will likely be knocking ~360 seats in totalBut in all the rest of the nation, it will be hard-pressed to retain its 50 seats if the elections are held today.
