Re: Newbie Corner & Military Miscellaneous

Welcome to Dream Land. The report is not new at all. The Indian defence establishment is crying aloud about Paki nuclear ambitions from a long time. The only thing new is it coming from US of A. And regarding Harpoon, US may be angry only because the Chinese(Technicians) might have modified their mi...

Long overdue: Mumbai Cops get a grip on hi-tech guns Mumbai: The wait is finally over for the city police. After getting flak for using outdated arms to counter terrorists in the 26/11 attacks, the officials have received the first lot of modern weapons and equipment that were on their wish list. A...

Re: MRCA News and Discussion

Friends we are not facing any threat from any 5th gen fighters from our hostilities as of now. We are investing heavily in PAK-FA and MCA, which should address our 5th gen concerns. We already have a better aircraft(MKI) compared to our neighbours. Considering this I strongly feel that MRCA should b...

this version of MSMC looks a lot different from its original avatar. much more refined. I have read it that Hezbollah tried to use stinger systems against Israel's F-16s and attack choppers, but they would not lock on to any of them due to some in built logic. I'm really worried that in times of conflict the weapons purchased from USA could have similar characteristics. But a still maj...

NO.

for air delivered nukes, having a hypersonic attack vehicle is best means of ensuring SAMs cannot get to it and have minimum time window to react. If hypersonic speed is critical in aerial delivery, IRBMs and ICBMs would achieve higher speeds at terminal phase. Wouldn't it be better to use random t...

I think US made a blunder by pumping in billions into F22 program. That money could have been used to create much more powerful drones which are the future of air force. With F22 they are stuck with a super expensive plane which they are afraid to use and lose. In addition, while stealth is very ex...

Raveen, I dont have anything against F-18 (please no f-16, Pakistan has it), but NO EUMA. If F-18 comes with the same amount of strings as Mig-35 or Rafale, it is a good buy. But with the EUMA, it becomes something which has to be trashed. I don't support this argument that we should avoid F-16 as ...

Just wondering.. ERA tiles on tanks decrease the effectiveness of APFSDS rounds. This is done by causing the ERA tiles to explode on the sabots impact.
