I am always left puzzled when people talk of Tejas replacing MMRCA or MKI...For the simple reason that Tejas is a light combat aircraft and MMRCA or MKI comes in much heavier category. If we need a replacement for them, I hope a fresh aircraft to match their profile can be designed with the expertis...

By the time Naval LCA gets IOC, HMS (or INS) - Invinsible can be retrofitted as a dedicated platform for them I hope it would just be stupid to follow anyone else in their pursuit....! We already have many indigenous programs in the pipelines...navy also demanding a great degree of indigenous....so...

I believe that work on PFMA started with work on PAKFA. So, We are not yet delayed as far as chineese are concerned...!

I believe that PMFA won't entirely be a new aircraft....so we should have it by defined schedule..!
