Re: The Indo Russian PAK-FA Project

Ironic that this Fighter Aircraft destined to serve with the Indian Air Force has a "PAK" on it.............maybe the reason for changing the acronym to FGFA. Sukoi may give its coveted "SU - XX" to the T-50, once its starts commercial production. Hope to catch a glimpse tomorrow...

One doubt Guruji's How we are going to provide protection to our IAC's without SSN's Can SSK's provide effective coverage for them??? I think not. We may need a limited no of SSN's for at least to provide cover to our proposed 3 carrier groups. So 6 SSN's may be needed. Then what about the protecti...

Philip, All the MIG 29Ks being ordered are not necessarily for fleet based operations. Expect some of them to be permanently based in shore based ops. Indian Navy will have to have shore based Mig 29 K, since they cannot do training for carrier take off/ landing with the BAE HAWK 132 (17 on order),...

Rahulji,

Going a little off topic, I know Craig was being humourous, but it also made me think about the "Doolittle Raid", where the B-25 Mitchell of U.S. Army Airforces were loaded on USS Hornet for invading Tokyo as a revenge on Pearl harbour.
