Re: Transport Aircraft for IAF

Good read. IAF may buy twin-engine refueling jets for USD 1.5 billion In a move that would help the Centre save money, it is now planning to buy only twin-engine aircraft as the next mid-air refueling planes for the Air Force for which even second-hand planes can be offered by vendors. The Indian Ai...

Eventually we will be in bed with Unkil because our geo-strategic position and situation demands it. And it will NOT be a bad thing to be allied to the most powerful democracy in the world with the best technical base and largest MIC to match. Not eventually, it is in progress and gathering speed. ...

The, huge, advantage China *now* has is that China is a one stop shopping country. Pretty much everything originates from Uncle Xi. Once he approves of a strategy that strategy goes right into teh Red Book and becomes defacto law. Even Quads will have major challenges going against such a juggernaut.

The DDM might be jumping the gun about the F-35 because Vivek Lall, the NRI VP of LM, is obviously talking about the F-Solah. BUT still they are hinting at a pathway to the F-35. In fact, IMHO, they sound pretty explicit about it. (He was born in Indonesia, so not sure he is a "NRI". But,...
