Re: PAK-FA and FGFA Thread

^^ You are simply missing the point which the author is trying to address, which is: - What is been touted as the biggest landmark deal for the military aviation industry and HAL in particular, in terms of design & development of a technological marvel is not TRUE . - The T-50 will be the develo...

Re: Pakistan arms sales, ops, doctrine, etc

attack is the best defence when you have a need to defend and your enemy is as powerful as you are. if you are truly powerful you can just slap him without him having the courage to slap back in return. we would all like an 'once and for all decisive war' but I don't think we need to. pakistan is u...

Re: Pakistan arms sales, ops, doctrine, etc

My 2 cents: - Attack is the best defense. There are no middle path option, no one is going to sit idle, when their territorial integrity is threatened. This happens only in INDIA. But its a tough choice of-course. - If we want to do something, it should be done by our IN. Complete sea-blocade and ch...

Re: MRCA Discussion - October 2, 2010

If i am visualizing correctly, by 2025, IAF and IN combined would have: A/C's - Number - FighterPilots - PAKFA - 300 A/c - [flyer +WSO = 600 pilots] - SUMKI - 300 A/C - [-do-] - LCA - 200 A/C - [probably all converted into MK3 standards, 200 pilots] - MMRCA - 126 A/C - [Typhoon(hopefully), single si...

@Luxtor^^^ Not worried about Rafales to the Pakis they want free stuff. It's the Chinese I'd worry about. The French are pressing the EU to lift the PRC arms embargo. Re: MRCA Discussion - October 2, 2010

An actual war over the skies will not be a dog-fight but a be a BVR game. Track first, fire first and then get the hell out of there. In this scenario, the twin engine which provides a better get-away is always better than a single engine one. Single engine in general should be used for interdiction...

Let me be specific: If we are going to play a defensive-offense, i.e:Patrolling our waters for offensive denial, then the subs, frigates, land-based IN UAV/aircraft's and the best of the best brahmos should be more than enuf. The AC is pretty much a sovereign property even in international waters, t...

Russia gets our money for PAK-FA even though what we contribute at this stage is another big discussion....
