Re: Pathankot AirForce base under attack

National Security Guard commandos landed in the state by around 9.30 pm on Friday to track down the alleged terrorists, believed to be in hiding in Pathankot's hilly terrain. Are there two different terror attacks? I thought it was the IAF base that was attacked and that the attackers had been boxe...

IAF has a lot of similarities wrt RAF in terms of culture, same is not true of USAF. 2. IAF has evolved tactics and ops to a higher degree in most areas. 3. IAF us...

The inlet has not changed. There is an extra fairing for the MLG to retract into. The Models on display at the DRDO also showed significant "swelling" just behind the inlet opening. It could be just the Fairing to accomodate the heavier LG but it surely "looks" more than that. I...

1. Leaving Rafale aside. One way of surely increasing the MK1 numbers is to split the training load between Hawk AJT and LCA (may be LCA as the LIFT) and TOFTUs for the MK2. 2. Also the NLCA MK1 would be a great platform to train Ramp Launch with ARs for the Mig29 K trainees. in the light of point 1...

Moving on.

Hi All. Now that SP1 has been handed over to IAF, does this mean that no more 'testing' will be done on SP1. What would be IAF's next course of action on SP1. Would there be routine Sqn training flights. Basically how does IAF deal with having just one plane for the next few months.
