Indeed, clearly the guy has little idea of the true effectiveness of K-15 and K-4, both being hybrid missiles with low altitude cruising at hypersonic speeds and terminal kill maneuvers. There are no defences against such missiles.

All this discussion is a waste of time, the deal for the Apache is already clear, it will be acquired first for the IAF 22 and probably another 39+ for IA. They clearly seem to have plans on using them for their needs. Question remains how will they use them. People forget that the Apache datalink t...

The 'miscellaneous' blunder in India's Rafale deal Don't know if this is a paid article of the actual state of affairs. Seems like the actual state of affairs, since the start this whole deal and costing of the Rafale has been suspicious, there is an obvious increase in the initial bid based on whi...

Javelin should be acquired asap, with 97% TOT is more than enough, we should be able to make the missiles entirely in India and better cost than in the US. It would bring in much needed teeth. By the time DRDO Nag manpads is ready for mass production it will be another 5 years, in the mean time it w...

MP-5 and is indeed sadly inadequate, for room clearing, better options exist, ideally they can quickly wrap up testing of MSMC and order it in great numbers, ideal replacement for a 9mm submachine gun. The MP-5 is good but for 9mm, they can order more Berretta MX-4 which is better than the MP-5 (onl...

Apache deal is a good one and I support it, I think IAF and IA have grands plans for the Apache Fleet. The Apache block 3 is technologically superior bird, for an attack helo, it does posses a kick ass radar now with extended range, image fusion with FLIR, with very cool ability to control UAVS as w...

The Soryu does look a like a nice sub, 6 tubes with impressive reloads upto 30, if adapted with brahmos universal laucnher, this thing could be quite a mean beast for the IN, though it is probably wiser just to order more Scorpenes with AIP for the P-75I instead of starting to the whole process of s...

I never said C-17s/C-130Js/ P-8Is or any other US deal as being inexpensive, the deals however include costs of service/weapons (in the case of Apaches) and maintenance over life time. The bigger and more complex the bird, the costlier it gets, do note even the A-330 tanker deal for 6 birds is worth...

True, Javelin can also be mounted on vehicles as done on Kestrel and in such cases and can kill targets over 4 km away. NH-90 prices will be in Euros, secondly S-70 might be an old design but it has been optimized for 21st century ops, the newest versions have a lot of carbon composites in the airframe, new gen powerful engines and an advanced cockpit. Kind if silly to be looking for TOT on a deal for 16 helos, if the deal expands to 75 more then we can consider the S-70I and it will be assembled locally in Inida. S-70I is quite simply better because the NH-90 cannot match its relibility, being a US bird, the price bid will certainly be cheaper. S...

I for one do not support the Maitri project either, its pretty useless, the Akash can be easily tinkered and fired from cells on frigates and destroyer, a new active radar seeker and few changes to the airframe is all we need, it has already proven itself in shooting low flying targets.
