Re: Production of Arjun tank to start soon

As I was trying to find out more about the engine manufacturing facility set up by BMEL, I came across pretty disappointing information. It seems BMEL was initially purchasing the engines from Kirloskar but based on alleged complainants from the consumers it decided to set up its own engine division...

It would be interesting to discuss what are the indigenous systems of Arjun. Re: Production of Arjun tank to start soon

I think we all acknowledge that the Arjun is much-maligned programme of DRDO. I think both DRDO and Army are to blame. DRDO for underestimating the extent and complexity of task and starting a half-baked effort. The first MBT prototype type rolled out in 1985. Yeah! Army for its unrealistic demands ...

Re: Akash and its nuclear payload

I think we should not be very quick to discard the concept of Akash being used in G to G role with nuclear warhead. In another thread posted elsewhere on this forum I had pointed out that USA had in 1958 tested a three stage thermonuclear device weighing 67 kgs with yield of 65 kt. The device had a ...

Friends<P>Most of the discussion on POK-II is just speculation so I will add some of my own in order to discuss the POK-II in more positive light. The tests are widely accepted to be 5 consisting of one pure fission weapon of 15kt another thermonuclear device of 45 kt and three of sub kt variety. No...
