Re: MiG-21 Bison shoots down F-16 in Kashmir

Regarding the usage of F-16s and AMRAAMs, I think we fellas need to understand a few things. The proportion of F-16s sold for anti Taliban anti terror related purposes is less than 50%. The mainstay of the F-16s fleet has been there since Soviet Afghan times and I refuse to believe those a/c come u...

In the heat of the chase and the adrenaline rush of shooting down your enemy's most coveted fighter, do you think the Wing Co. even realized that he had crossed the LC? Imagine you are flying at close to Mach 2.0 with just one sole purpose of firing the R73 up the enemy's Musharraf :D This is what ...

Is there any comment by PAF? on the air battle? Even an offical word that JF17 shot down the Mig21? (and Su30 as claimed) Or R77 being fired by India and it's superior technology nullified it? Something like that. I have hardly seen any comments. Other than that PA news reader guy on tweeter. So mu...

Honeywell official doc for F125IN mentions its 9600lbf class engine = 42kN. Very much within HTFE's core's capability, with AB of coarse. Interestingly the doc mentions 2000hrs MTBO for F125IN engine compared to "current 500hrs" which means current Jag engines have 500hr MTBO. And it also ...

One thing. M2K are still the Gold standard for IAF. And our RnD folks are on a mission to better it with MWF. Tejas MK1 is already superior in some respects. All in all, IAF will be very happy and effective with 200 MWFs.
