Re: Chandrayan-2 Mission

Lunar days are different from mars day so the battery which is discharged progressively can cause hibernation and later wake up. Problem is a Lunar day is 15 days and between extreme heat and cold so reawakening the rover is the challenge that all Lunar missions face unless there is an RTG

Cool! HAL has a fan following here.. Will just put down some facts and benchmarks 1. The price of RS.463 Cr is a base flyaway cost, no weapons, no training infra, no amortisation of development cost. Development cost has been funded by MoD up to MK1 directly. Not sure if it came from IAF budget or ...

Question, Haridasji: (BTW, thanks!!!) The rocket stages and launcher vehicle seem to be Prithvi derivatives. So working backwards, doesn't this mean that Prithvis can be refitted with these ASAT/BMD type computers and pulsed thrusters, to give them pin-point accuracy against moving targets such as ...

One thing to remember. What did VKS say - we can do the test with an electronic target and also with an actual target. We have done this with an actual target. As for the former hmmmmm is enough.

In the launch preview, they seem to be downplaying the three orbit concept, they distinctly mention only two, then refer to the PSLV 4th stage more obliquely. Is the 3 orbit mission still on?

I think you need to review the video again. It clearly mentions what the PSLV 4th stage is going to do
