Re: Tejas Mk.1 & Mk.1A News & Discussions: 09 February 2018

Not proven enough yet!! CCM is not a problem as it is not that dependent on radar (most are IR based). Though some are slaved to the radar as well. For medium to longer range you need a family of missiles, radar based, it based guided by radar for mid course, a combination of radar and IR. Various r...

Re: Tejas Mk.1 & Mk.1A News & Discussions: 09 February 2018

Flying daggers now have 9 planes. My guess it after 10-11 planes total, the next SQ (no 18?) will start receiving planes. I have been one crying about the slow rate of production. I hope, next fiscal they produce the max that is possible (16?) and not fall short. Their are many roadblocks in achievi...

I second Shiv. A typical cell will be the one derailing train in UP heartland for almost 10 years. How do they function? Manage to say under radar? ...
Or a JK one, how do they get training, where do they live/hide and finally get 72 etc.

I would also buy 12-20 as upgrade replacement. When 12-20 planes from a squadron comes for upgrade, they move onto the latest batch of reserve, when the upgrade is complete, they get back their SU30MKI and replacement squadron moves to the next squadron that have sent their plane for upgrade. We have 30 or so left from 272 order. It is 3 years (12*3). If indeed extra 40 have been order, it is another three years. So even if we can convert, it can be only after 6 years. Till then full capacity is needed to deliver SU30MKI.
