Re: Terror Attacks on Mumbai-II

IBN is showing interviews of Lalit Modi and the impact on cricket. As John McEnroe once said, You cannot be serious. At this time of national crisis, these idiots are worried about ODI's. Pathetic. On the flip side, I think this will unite India and Indians. There is a common enemy and that is Pakis...

By the way, I just saw the cremations on TV. How many more kids and wailing widows will be see? Seriously, this is beyond lame. I have made a promise to myself. I will turn in my US passport and go to India and fight the Pakistanis if there is a war. Flat out. I live a life of leisure and what I see...

I agree with the feeding to the pigs technique. By the way, has pansy ass from the train station been liquidated yet? I hope his gun jammed and the locals took care of him. Terrorists also on the 18th and 19th floor of Oberoi. Confirmation anyone? These retards need a quick trip to their virgins also. We all know these are Paki but what language are they speaking? Some Afghani spill over or Bangladeshi variants?

Re: Firing/Attack in Mumbai

I heard on IBN Live that there was a blast near Prabhadevi or opposite Chowpatty. This indicates this event is still on going. By the way, rgsrini give it a rest ok (I'd say something more blunt to you but I'll bite my tongue). We are all sane enough not to equate a religion in some blanket fashion ...

SunilU, I don't want to hijack the thread but your statement on international patents is wrong. You can apply in multiple countries at the same time and have the patent valid in all those countries at the same time (if it issues) due to the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The mechanics of this are handle...

I am just astounded how India has come so far so quickly. Keep it up. Nice finds. Totally awesome. I know th...

Shiv,

While the author of the blog is of Indian ethnicity, he's an American. He works for the Moffett Field Museum. So, he has no linkage to the IAF but more so the USAF.

Re: Suicide Attack on Indian Embassy in Kabul

Nayak, Not to sound rude but are you truly surprised by Paki reaction? You can't be surprised. They have legitimately lost every war they have fought on the battlefield. This is their strategy of a 1000 cuts to get back at India. I am more disappointed that India has not avenged a single life in a l...

I've been lurking for nearly a decade now. I heard about BRF in 1998. I miss some of the old folks like Kaushal etc. Shiv is right in so far as the forum has become lots more personal and lot less substantive. The main reason I don't post to be quite honest is that there are cliques on here, much li...

Are those numbers accurate?

Enqyoob,

Do you have a source for your artillery shell count or where are you speculating from? That number seems really really high even for Russia. I doubt either of them has that many squirreled away as shells. I would think that fissile stock could be better used in other delivery systems.

The Indian Program and All You Wanted to Know About Nukes.

Hello folks, I have been keenly following the conversation here, expert and not. I wanted to give you a link on a white paper on nuclear weapons. Ramana, I'd fully agree with your assessment. From reading that article (from the US perspective), some things are clear. There is only one plant that can make the plutonium pit for the W-88 warhead. In the American context, all pits for American bums have to be certified. The one for the W-88 is ye...

It's the "Pits"

Ok folks, more cud to chew on. Here is a document from FAS, derived from the US government, on weapons design, weapons turnover (which I think is a huge issue with a larger arsenal), plutonium pit design and fabrication and metallurgic characteristics of plutonium. You'll find fascinating stuff from...

Hello all, I just want to say excellent posts. As a scientist in an unrelated discipline, this stuff is just fascinating to me. Last post for the night. This isn't for the gurus on here but once again lay people. Warhead Design, Open Source.

Hello all, I have been following this discussion with keen interest. I have no vested interest in this topic except as a layman. Re: IAF Jaguars & IL-78s in Italy

People seemed to be puzzled by the route. Here's my simple hypothesis. It's called force projection and it can be explained by a simple American analogy known as the Debutante's Ball. In the deep south, when a girl matured into a woman, they would have a big party and parade her for all the town fol...
