Vijay, The Russian people themselves rejected communism. Capitalism and democracies, warts and all, are still better than communism in representing the will of the collective people. For all of the love of communism in this room, look at the naxals in India. What are they? By the way, for all you Ru...

A_Gupta, the truth may be stranger than fiction but mental illness is still mental illness. Let's not get into the argument of the absurd just because it's possible. And yes, the thing that differentiated this forum from the one that I won't name was to be civil and cultured. So regardless of their ...

Re: Malaysian Airlines Flight MH-370 goes missing

Moderators, At one time, this forum prided itself on focusing on news sources that were established or at least validated. This was to differentiate this forum from the numerous other nutcase fora on the internet, which I won't mention. Nowadays, there are posts from users who are using sources that...

Habal, If we are going to float bizzaro theories then how do you know a fire didn't burn the cables that provide electrical power to ACARS, TCAS and the transponder while not effecting other avionics. Swiss Air pilots frittered around for hours as systems kept burning sequentially till they had no c...

Nice article with some new facts: 1. Numerous modifications made, including making the rocket more robust. 2. On-board cameras were used. Obviously, we haven't seen the footage. Perhaps in future launches. http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2014/01/indian-gslv-launch-gsat-14-communications-satellite/

Can someone tell me why the upper stage of the GSLV is cryogenic (CUS)? Other countries have used cryogenic engines on earlier stages in a rocket to lift heavy loads. I would love to know the rationale behind this configuration. Thank you and good luck to ISRO.

Why do I care what Jennifer Rubin has to say? The fact of the matter is that Ass-ad's days are numbered. In contrast to the constant paranoia in this forum about American weapons systems, the IAF loves them. I'd rather trust their assessment. There is a reason why the lca is mated to an American engine not Russian one. Nuff said. Now back to worshiping Ass-ad as a hero.
