It could very well be that Chinese troops disengaging were frustrated their objectives were not achieved, and anticipated repercussions from their hierarchy upon getting back to base. India should destroy the bases nearest to LAC in Pangang Tso, Galwan and Hot Springs with artillery fire in simultaneous action and capture the soldiers between LAC and the bases beyond. And stop talks and sit back.

Negotiations happen from a position of strength, else its bargaining.
