There is a flurry of activity in US to get boots on the ground(way beyond those 50 rambos) in order to preempt full fledged russian move. War is at a turning pt now. Who ever gets there first gets to keep it. Its wild wild west now... Ru and US will want to avoid shooting at each other at all costs...
