Re: The Rohingya Menace

All the BIF pressure points are being activated. NHRC IIRC has not undergone change since this govt took power and is full of C-system people. Pressure through UN. Settling Rohingyas in Jammu when they are actually Bengalies and should be in WB. All points to a sinister pattern of BIFs using the iss...

Re: The Rohingya Menace

The numbers of Rohingyas is tiny compared to the number of Muslims in India. That is not the issue. The idea of BIFs is to ensure the govt is unable to move on core issues and do things in national interest. If they can somehow stall this they will again use same tactics for bigger issues. Given the...

Re: The Rohingya Menace

These petitions are the handiwork of BIFs. They are testing Govt resolve. If they find any weakness they will come back again. All the more reason to deport Rohingyas.

Re: The Rohingya Menace

Good strategy to send aid for optics if they remain firm on deportation. Similar strategy will be needed to deport Bdeshis if and when it happens. Right now pressure should be on Myanmar to take back the Rohingyas in India who migrated from that region.

Re: The Rohingya Menace

Colin Gonzalves who is fighting for the Rohingyas in the SC comes from the same school as Prashant Bhushan and has the same mentors. The idea is to use the courts and misuse the rule of law in India to prevent executive action. Similar course will be eventually taken to prevent future action by this...

Re: The Rohingya Menace

There are no soft options on Rohingya deportation for the Modi govt. If they back down on deporting Rohingyas they will not be able to deport millions of Bdeshis from Assam and WB as technically they will also be stateless. This has been an election pledge to the people of Assam given by this govt. ...

The Chinese did massively intervene in the Korean war of the 50s. This is why NoKo survived. China is using NoKo to destabilize US and Pak to destabilize India. Lets see what is the countergame. Right now I don't see any except more sanctions against NoKo and more killed terrorists for Pak. Neither ...

In advanced countries including Japan corruption are usually at higher places. Petty corruption is almost non-existent. Cash fuels petty corruption in India e.g. a babu accepting bribes leading to 1-2 crore of BM. But yes, it is just one of the parameters.

I think it is a honesty price and the system will adjust. How fast is the question. There were several members on BRF cribbing about demo. It clearly suggests that many in the informal economy have not adjusted to the new way.

The choice will be with the person receiving the DBT. He can still buy it from the kirana PDS store at the subsidized price or top it up with his own money and buy it from the market. With DBT and economic growth the PDS system is going to die out.

Okuhara has been unbeatable this tournament. She deserved the win. She was returning everything, sometimes almost impossible shots and also scoring winners. The best form she ever has been in. She beat Marin, Saina and Sindhu to win. Incredible.
