Surinderji, we are dharmic onlee. Remember the Mahabharat story - where Pandavas after returning from the Vanvaas demanded as little as 5 villages as a recompense for Duryodhan's treachery. It was denied and the rest is history. This is by far one of the most amazing analogies I have seen, and no I...

I see the application of danda as a gross failure of the ruling HISI class in bringing Hindu grievances into the arena of debate. I would really like to see other methods work. But Hindus are no longer likely to occupy a place betwen the twin prongs of "Shut up and don't make demands or we wil...

Shiv, Thomas Kuhn's major work "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions", which gave rise to the phrase, "paradigm shift" , is relevant here. One result is, that is it is useless to try to convert old fogey's. Even when new profound ideas stare them in their faces, oldies' parad...

Sumeet,

A possible reconciliation:

1. More than 50% Indian muslims want Kashmir to be separated from India.

2. A majority of Indian muslims are not concerned about Jihad. They want to live peacefully in India. (But want Kashmiris to have their cake and eat it too).

gopal suri,

For a few years DDM kept on reporting the diameter of Akash missile as 200cm!

This wasn't a one time affair. As far as defense reporting is concerned, most journos are lazy AND incompetent.

indygill, following the prevalent opinion here we could argue, plead and reason with the fake-shankaracharya or the dhimmedia. May be that would work. This of course rests on an innocent presumption that such fakes and dhimmedia are merely ignorant and not actively motivated. If someone is pretendin...

Indygill, I can't answer for the media, but we should know better. The real shankaracharya of puri Govardhana-peetha is Sw. Nishchalannda saraswati. And his views are nothing like this fake shankaracharya, e.g: http://www.odisha.in/news/158/ARTICLE/1497/2007-09-22.html also see: http://en.wikipedia....

indygill, Are you sure this so called "shankaracharya" is the genuine one? Whos is SWAMI NISHCHALANANDA SARASWATI then? There are many self-appointed shankaracharyas, some for personal profit and some for vested interests. The anti-hindu propaganda workshop has many mansions under its shed.

Johann, I was puzzled by your use of the phrase "ganjetic plain", but then I had an eureka moment. I know "Ganja" is/was quite commonly practiced amongst the hordes of sadhus in the plains of river Ganga, so it may be justifiable to call it the "Ganjetic" plain, instead...

That is a gross mistake. Some actions that Gandhi used were hawk actions that won. Some were dove actions. Psecs of today are hawks when it comes to the way they handle former dhimmis. Imagined size of virility is different from effective size. So there are two kinds of hawk adversaries, Islamist h...

We need to get our debate right with dhimmis first and we need to score higher. When dhimmis see less threat from former dhimmis they are more likely to move that way. getting them to stop interfering with the Islamist ball favorably is a step that needs to be planned and executed carefully. ------...
