What does the scorpene offer that is superior to the german boats especially if the germans are willing to MK ise the boats to Indian specs. Provided the Russians are willing to play ball, an MKised german boat with Fuel Cells and klubs would be a better bet, not to mention cheaper to procure and a ...

Anyone know if the subs the Germans made for israel had tube launched or VLS? Maybe we can get the Germans to modify their subs to fire Brahmos. VLS Brahmos from the German subs with fuels cells would be way cool. No need for the Russians to be involved. We can strike a seperate deal with them for t...

Re: Shaheen 2 - proliferation unlimited?
I find it hard to believe that the Saudis will allow themselves to be drawn into a Indo-Pak nuclear exchange and risk their own country being nuked. It is highly plausible that they are getting new Chinese missiles arranged by their good friends the Pakis and mounted on these missiles are the famous...

Re: Pakistan Nuclear Proliferation - 02 Mar 2004
India had plenty to do with Pakistan's nukes by rushing to test it's bombs. India tested *first*. Let's not forget that. That is absurd. Typical state dept and non proliferation crowd equal-equal talk. India is an independent country and built its weapons for protection against the Chinese. The Pak...

What about the second biggest proloferatyor the Paki Army. They are still around. What are you doing about it Mr. Powell? The biggest (proliferator) is now gone and so we don't have to worry about proliferation from Mr AQ Khan or his network. And this is a success for the international community,

Nuke Scientist set for Pardon
What do Pakis have to do before US gets upset enough to punish them?
Probably should be a seperate thread in itself.

Re: Pakistan Nuclear Proliferation - 22 Jan 2004
Pakistan's unravelling nuclear secrets Over the past two years, Pakistan's culture of denial had produced a surreal nuclear theater of the absurd. Any suggestion Pakistan's nuclear establishment was less than a paragon of nonproliferation probity was deemed beyond contempt. The father of the countr...

Nuclear Resolution - Washington Post Article As if to emphasize that new years bring new hopes, Libya, Iran, North Korea and Pakistan have in recent weeks altered their defiant or deceitful behavior on nuclear weapons. Pushing these four atomic miscreants to clean up their acts should be a top Amer...

Re: Pakistan Nuclear Proliferation - 25 Dec 2003
I doubt that Israel will be denuked. The US interest is primarily in seeing Iran, NK and Libya denuked along with the covert denuking of TSP to allow them to save face. Wish someone had a better idea of how far the US come in their covert operation because we see conflicting reports. Some say the Pa...

With the United States facing the prospect of continuing difficulties in Iraq and Afghanistan in the new year, there are signs that it will adopt an aggressive policy to cut all kinds of supply lines to the guerrilla movements in these countries, starti...

Re: Role of armed helicopters in army operations
Why doesn't India uses helicopters mounted with heat and motion sensors like the US law enforcement folks do? The militants hiding in rough terrain and forests in Kashmir can be spotted by their IR signature and they can be attacked or commandos can be be zeroed in to their location.
