Let them loot, but US will have to supply spares which they may or not choose to do. Pakis cant afford the fuel or spares. And Abandoned Equipment is never well maintained. I recall a news article saying the Maj Gen commanding the Kargil division was busy setting up a Zoo while infiltration was going on. Also COAS Mallik allowed Barkha Dutt to function in that area at the height of the conflict with Sat phones....All of them were let off scot free.

Paul, I don't think XJP will enter the Afghan trap. They learnt for FSU and moreover, all this is their near abroad and they know the region quite well. Taliban have said that they will not allow Uyghur militiant activity once they take over Afghanistan. So far the Chinese seem to be playing it well.

US will try to strike a deal with Taliban to hit China in East Turkestan via a Jihad.
