Re: Indian Army: News & Discussion
Well he was a Lt Gen when the issue arose, a rank that less than 3 out of every 1000 officers attains. Is the issue of making it to a four star rank worth a compromise that strips one of 10 months in office? Sure. But having done so he has to stick with it. One can just as easily attribute it to 'w...

Rangudu,
Pretty much all of bhadrakumar's articles have been reflexively anti-US for as long as I've been on this forum.

The French selling weapons and/or technology to the Chinese is far more of a risk to India than the US doing the same to Pakistan. I wouldn't chalk US reticence in selling weapons to China down to principles. At least not all of it. That said how does the reason matter. That the US chooses to active...

Singha,
+1 re the Super Stallion. Not sure if the russian mi-26s will offer the same uptime as their US counterparts. Range/payload for the Mi-26 beats out the Super Stallions pretty comprehensively though.

Hitesh,
The US is quite capable of pressuring Israel to not sell Phalcons Boeing or not. And they did do that in the case of China.

At the same time, if Kaveri is flying on test bed and it has heat area materials replacement faster than other benchmark engines , then Kaveri must be surely at some stage where GTRE has a meaningful contribution. Looks like the reason GTRE can't improve the thrust is not that they don't know what ...

But the BJP cannot muster the image that is required in this day and age. The Indian today looks for a leader who can stand out and can APPEAR to stand out and walk as an equal among all those great admired firangis. This is actually a very simple PR trick but the Hindus dogeddly fail to perform th...

Ramanna, The relationship between the Pakis and Chinese is as deep as the oceans themselves. The chinese certainly helped the Pakis for their own needs, but that didn't stop the Pakis from providing them with F-16s and Tomahawks for reverse engg. So why not the latest american nuke components too ? ...

Alok_N, Pardon my cliche, par aap ne to mere moonh ki baat cheen li. The Paki rats are probably fronting for the Chinese. The Chinese have not only provided bums to the rats, but also the delivery systems. Surely they would like to get some something out of the deal. The Chinese/Pakis seem to have h...
