Russian central bank is being sanctioned. There is a lot of chatter on Russians now won't be able use their reserves that much. Any ideas, what this means? It would be interesting to see the effect of these sanctions.

I just think China now has Russia at their mercy.

Zelenski is being made into a hero, ordinary Ukrainians are being shown as very brave and defending their home, anti war protests. All these are meant to prolong the war in Ukraine and west has pretty much succeeded in it so far.

I'm not sure why the dependence on Russian Arms a big issue. It has a lot to do with history and how we got here. Dependence on any foreign equipment is fraught with danger. So, its good time to wean away from foreign equipments.

NATO's European members will not get into war with Russia over Ukraine. So, Ukraine can forget NATO membership for sometime and wait until Russia is weaker.

India was also a big beneficiary of US presence in Afghanistan for 20 years. We had ample time to get grips with kashmir issue, improve the counter terrorism expertise in our forces, build up infrastructure and economy.

India should apply pressure on western border and ensure Pakistani focus is removed from Afghanistan.

Now start fund insurgency to the hilt in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Keep them boiling in their own stew. All the while applying pressure on western border. Drain Pakistani resources.

Panjshir's fall is inevitable unless outside intervention happens. For now, no help is on the horizon. All heavy weaponry and battle hardened taliban are moving into Panjshir. So, it's just a matter of time.
