If the idea is to have a word derived from an Indian language, then I hope they avoid any word ending in -naut. I think any word which limits the meaning to atmosphere should also be avoided. The word should also be easy to pronounce and not too long. If I had a better knowledge of Sanskrit, I would...

But the "cheapness" was forced upon Isro because of earlier failures. The smaller, older Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) had to be deployed, rather than the more powerful Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV), because Isro had failed to stabilise the GSLV's cryogenic techno...

Come to think of it, do we have proper maps of India on BR?

Absolutely fantastic, precise article from Christopher Hitchens, telling it like it is.
But we all at BR have been saying the same for a decade. The only thing that he
hasn't mentioned is the role of the Chinese, who have been playing an equally
deceitful, shameless game as the Pakis

Thanks Shiv and Neerajb for your lucid explanation. I now understand very well what induced drag is.
The question remains whether CFT's can generate lift to compensate for the drag created by their weight.

I read in a post here that conformal fuel tanks can actually generate lift to compensate for their weight.
