Does anyone know what the Pakistani causualties during operation Parakram were? because for the first time since 1989 the Pakis became very eager for a ceasefire along the LOC after operation parakram came to an end.

I don't think I referred to Godess KAALI in my previous posts, I was referring to Kali. Whether eating meat is accepted and Slaughtering for commercial consumption is not- that is your interpretation and I am sure you have basis for that. Whereas I follow what the vaishnava gurus tell me and that is...

S Valkan Wrote o Actually, no. But some sectarian Vaishnavas try to claim so in their "Purports" on stories of Jada Bharata. My Srimad Bhagvatam is in India and I am temprarily here in the US . Will have check on this and get back to you . I don't think this is mentioned along with Jada Bh...

Acharya BRFite This Dvaita vs Advitha and calling each other indefensible by the other has to end. BTW I come from both the sampradhaya. Sorry for moving from the thread, but you are from both the sampradhaya- I guess you have to believe in 1 of the 2. Anyway while i belive in Vaishnavism I guess b...

Valkan S. I am not familiar with the whole of Srimad Bhagvatam so I am aware of the specific passages you are talking about. The few followers of advaita whom I had met in the past were not too familiar with Bhagvatam so I generally thought Srimad Bhagvatam is not given too much in the advaita schoo...

More like personal belief and experience, since Srimad Bhagtvam deals more with Bhakti and Devotinal service, not many people in the advaita school of thought follow it.

ramana Forum Administrator The repentence and redemption story is there in the Srimad Bhagavata too. A habitual sinner on his death bed calls out the name of his son who is named Narayana and attains swarga. So taking the Lord's name is even in vain is sufficient. Maybe Alok or Valkan or others can...

I don't think we take offense to CHristians beliving us going to Hell. What is more offence is how Hindu scriptures are considered mythology, while Christian scriptures are called 'holy'. The best example is that the Rig Veda was invented 2500 years ago- when there is no literary or scientific proof...

Hmmm, Just wondering, how come Paki, BBC , CNN etc do not have a single report on this. Are they too shocked by this development or has India managed to create a smokescreen which makes them feel it is nothing significant??? :D
