technical support - as in timely delivery of spares, etc? Or political support? The prior, IMHO, is important. The latter? I would not depend on it in this era. IMHo India, the next time around NEEDS to deliver a solution that should either reduce future occurrences of problems in teh region or tot...

3. The Atlantique was not engaged in a dog fight, which makes it easier to shoot down with a gun rather than a supersonic dog fighter with agility where one would have to resort to missiles Proven by the fact that we can't remember the last gun only dogfight kill for IAF? Re: MRCA News and Discussion
The MRCA deal is not just about buying aircrafts... At its heart is the age old geo-political battle of which side should we lean on... This is being fought since the day the decision to induct the first supersonic jet was taken... ( IIRC, the F104 was considered along with MiG 21 and Mirage III) My...

just a question, how does the NAL Hansa, manufactured by taneja aerospace according to wiki compare to the deepak ? On comparing the specs, Hansa seems to be underpowered when compared to the Deepak, and its wing area is comparatively less.. so on the paper, deepak is a better military trainer in m...

You have got to be kidding me... Foreign purchase of even the trainer aircraft... Are we that incapable of even designing a stage-1 Trainer aircraft... Or is the IAF over-exaggerating the recent crash of the Deepak in Dundigal (no disrespect to the brave officers intended) to import even this kind o...

If the enemy does not possess any strength in terms of anti-air weapons, any aircraft that can carry air-to-ground weapons could be pressed into the CAS role. But that's the point: the enemy is very rarely going to be exposed without at least basic anti-air weapons. In this case you need specialize...

Notwithstanding the recent tragic crash of an Su-30MKI,the aircraft has had 12 safe years in service and more advanced versions of the aircraft should be considered to make up numbers instead of buying an inferior MMRCA at high cost. Inferior ? I am sorry the Eurofighter and Rafale are equal or bet...
