Re: Understanding the US - Again

The Aurangzeb Principal could be a reference to the disastrous Dakhhan campaign launched by him. It bancurrupted the empire, destroyed alliances from which the empire drew strength, created an alternate power centre in Maratha Empire. Utimately leading to the downfall of the empire itself. All becau...

Re: Armoured Vehicles: News & Discussion

Not exactly. Purely from a war fighting POV, it's important for MBTs to have the ability to clear a path for themselves on the battlefield. Without being dependent on other assets. That in turn makes the mine plough a useful kit to attach on every tank. Having said that, what was really really, real...

IIRC, back in late 90s when Shri Kalam was still the scientific advisor to the Raksha mantri. He had stated that the IAF will require 220 Tejas with an export potential for several hundred more. The Mk1 in its iterations has already reached that number. 40+83+97= 220. The so called Mk2 will surpass ...

Why "Col Kalashnikov"?

The gentleman's name is,"Colonel Prasad Bansod". It's a good name for an Indian. The fact that he is called Col Kalashnikov, shows that our media has no appreciation of his accomplishments. Without bringing a foreigner into the discussion.

The T-14 Armata is still very much alive. What the article is referring to is that the tank will not be deployed in Ukraine due to the high cost. Old fashioned Sam traps. High flying jets are seen from longer distance. The fire control system is kept powered up, but not emitting. The message comes from ew system.
